Heather received her undergraduate schooling from Illinois State University and Prairie State College of Nursing in 1994. She worked as a Registered Nurse in various Emergency Rooms and Trauma Centers for more than 10 years. She received a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona in 2007. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is trained to see and treat patients across the lifespan. She has special interests in Quality Assurance and Health Informatics.
